The scientific activities of GloBE-Reg are drug class specific and can be divided into those undertaken by the Expert Working Groups (EWG) and by Studies. The EWGs are fixed-term condition-specific groups that are administratively supported by GloBe-Reg and their objectives include the development of minimum datasets that can be used by the wider community, promote the use of the GloBE-Reg platform and consider the development of studies. Studies are performed by independent study teams who have successfully applied to the Data Access Committee to obtain data. For any one drug class, leads from current EWGs and Studies meet at regular intervals in the Scientific Activities Committee.
